This is a RACI chart specifically for project initiation documentation — who’s responsible for producing each piece of the paperwork that kicks a project off.

It’s based on the chart from Project Management for Dummies (Wiley, 2011), which is one of those books people laugh at but actually contains useful reference material. This particular chart maps out who does what during the initiation phase: the business case, the project brief, the risk register, the stakeholder analysis, and so on.

The version I’ve included is a scan of the original. It’s not the cleanest image, but it’s accurate and you can read it at full size.
